C BizKit's Merry Go Round

It's the last Wednesday of the month and that means it's time for the May New Release Blog Hop for Dude Time Doodles.  We've got lots of fun things for you this month, so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment.  One of the Dudettes will be the Mystery Hostess and one of her commenter's will be the lucky winner.

Step right up and join C BizKit's Merry Go Round.  All the jockeys are trying to get in the lead - unfortunately they haven't figured out yet that they are just going in circles.  For this project, I started out by printing the image multiple times and coloring each one with my Copic markers (each one is completely different - even the skin tones) and then fussy cutting them out.  Next, I adhered them to skewers that I airbrushed with my Copics and adhered the skewers to my base (a cake board covered with Graphic 45 paper).  The ceiling of the Merry Go Round was created using my Nested Ornament dies from Spellbinders.

Here's a different shot of the Merry Go Round (not the easiest thing for me to photograph) and the top. I used all G-45 papers (Le Cirque) for this labor of love.  Next time, I'll use larger diameter skewers or straws as these thin ones took a while to become stable.

Here are some close-ups of the jockeys wearing their favorite winning colors.

After I cut out each of the images, I applied Glossy Accents to each horse.  Everyone knows that Merry Go Round horses are all shiny looking and C BizKit is no exception.  It's also a bit hard to tell, but each horse and rider are staggered, so they aren't at the same height.

The Blog Hop doesn't have a starting or ending point; so no matter where you hop, you're at the right place.  Just keep on hopping until you've gone full circle and hopped to each of us.  Don't forget to leave each of us some love along the way.  All New Releases will be available in the STORE at 10am EST.

You should have arrived here at Anne-Made directly from Dude Time Doodles blog.  From here, you can hop on over to Miss Cleota's and see what she has in store for you (you'll love it!).  Here's the list of Dudette's in case you get so dazzled by all our artwork and you loose your place.

HOLY COW, OMGoodness, and Golly-gee-whillikers! What a fantastic project! I'm giong to be doing something with a "Theme Park" theme for a child's birthday party in about 3 weeks and I so desperately want to CASE this! Hmmm, am I brave enough to undertake this? A merry-go-round would be so perfect for a centerpiece! Really fantastic, and this one alone will make me go shopping and pick up C-biskit! Wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing this incredibly creative idea!
