Puppy Love

Have you seen the new Die-Stamp sets that Die-Versions has recently released?  They are clear photopolymer stamps and coordinating low profile dies (both of which are made in the USA.)  If not, you need to  check them out as they are so cute!

Today I'm sharing the new Puppy Love Stamps and coordinating dies, Puppy Love Dies.  I have to admit that I'm wasn't a huge fan of clear stamps as I've had puddling and non-uniform stamped images in the past.  However, I had no issues whatsoever with these stamps and dies!  And they were so easy to use!  I die cut the outline and then stamped the image right on top.  Since they are clear stamps, I could tell exactly where I was placing them on top of the die cuts.  Then I took out my Copics and started coloring.

I decided to create a mini magazine holder that I had seen on Split Coast Stampers.  This made a perfect gift for my dog lover friend.  When it came time to embellish the sides, I didn't have any animal patterned papers that I liked, so I created my own using the dog bone and paw print that came in the set.  Love how you can customize papers to coordinate with the theme.  Here are photos of the left and right sides of the mini magazine holder.  I also customized my little note paper with the paw prints.

One other thing I discovered while making these mini holders is that they are the perfect size to hold my new Die-Versions Die-Stamp sets!  I had created a prototype to make sure I was following the instructions (it was hard for me to see exactly what was going on in the step by steps as the author used black cardstock for the folder base.)  Since I don't like to throw anything away, I started playing around with various things that would fit and not be too top heavy.  Imagine a happy dance when I realized the clear stamps fits perfectly!
I used the packaging insert from the clear stamps, cut down the sides to fit, and adhered a piece of magnetic paper on the front.  This magnetic page holds the dies in place.  The clear stamps on the acetate already fit without any altering.  The packaging insert, which is taller than the stamps or my magnetic page, acts as a tab between each of the Die-Stamp sets.  I've also written the name of each set in the upper left hand corner for easy referral.
