Seasonal Tree is one of the new rubber stamp sets released by Sparkle N Sprinkle this month and I have to tell you it is so versatile. You can stamp any of the four seasons with this set. I decided to create a Christmas thank you card using the bare tree and the ornament stamps.
I started out by die cutting white cardstock with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Eight die and then randomly stamping the sentiment with VersaMark. To give the words some color, I added a little bit of pearlescent Pan Pastels (Turquoise, Pearlescent Violet). The Pan Pastels adhered nicely to the VersaMark.
Memento Ink (Rich Cocoa) and colored it with Copic markers. The ornaments with VersaMark and heat set with Red Apple embossing powder. Then I added some Liquid Applique for the snow and Fantasy Gold glitter to the centers of each ornament.
The patterned paper mat was die cut using a Sue Wilson Designs die (Spanish Collection - Granada). I wanted a larger mat for the patterned paper, so I outlined the outer edge of the die onto gold metallic cardstock and fussy cut it out. I then placed the die on the front of the fussy cut gold cardstock and outlined the inner edge of the die with a Copic multiliner. This gives the impression of another thin layer without any added bulk.
The next to last layer was sprayed with a spray adhesive and then covered with Aqua Marine glitter for a very glittery and shimmery look. This was then adhered to the card base using Tear-ific Tape. Small bows in the four corners add a final touch to this Thank You card.
