Happy Birthday

This was a for-fun card I created using alcohol inks and YUPO paper.  I was inspired to try this paper with alcohol inks after viewing Tim Holtz video about this.  I've used this paper with watercolors (you can see all the posts using this synthetic paper here), but not with alcohol inks.  I used Various Ink Copic refills for my card.

All of the dies used for this card are from the Balloons Step-Ups die set by Sizzix.  I started out by die cutting the base from white cardstock.  The rest is from the YUPO paper.  The really cool thing about this is you can layer the alcohol inks on top of each other or swirl them together.  All of this was from the same sheet of YUPO paper.  For the different colors, I either added a bit more ink or subtracted some ink (using rubbing alcohol) from what was already there.

This was so much fun to play around with.  I definitely want to do it some more.
