Showers of Blessings

Sparkle N Sprinkle has ten new stamp sets that were revealed this month.  This one is called Emily Showers of Love and she has so many cute sentiments that go with her.

I used the digi version to create this card and after printing, I die cut the image using a Spellbinders die (Labels Sixteen). The image is colored with Copic markers and Daisy velvet glitter was added to the hearts and Sparkling Snow glitter was added to portions of her dress, the bow in her hair, and her shoes.  Waterscape glitter accents the showering hearts as well as the border around the die cut.
The background was created by dry embossing a Sue Wilson Designs embossing folder ( Daisy Tiers) and then adding Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Lemon SorbetCornflower Blue).  The Lemon Sorbet was rubbed over the entire area with my fingertip and I applied the Cornflower Blue using a stipple brush.

After printing both of the sentiments, I die cut the "Today's Forecast using a Sizzix die (Tim Holtz Labels) and Lemon Sorbet mousse was applied over the top.  The "Showers of Blessings" combines two more sentiments and this was die cut using a Spellbinders die (Surf's Up).  Copics were used to shade the umbrella.
A strip of lace was added below the focal point.  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Duck Egg Blue) were used to give the flower centers more dimension.  I let this dry overnight since the Crystal Drops were applied to fabric/thread.  You can see in the photo below the amount of dimension these Crystal Drops gave to the lace.
The card base was also dry embossed using a Spellbinders embossing folder (Dainty Dots).  Then more Lemon Sorbet embellishment mousse was applied to the edges.
Sparkle N Sprinkle has a new blog site.  Plus you're getting a sneak peak at the new website too: sparklensprinkle.net.  So be sure to check it out.  I think you'll really like the new look!
