Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop to promote Cancer Awareness, called the Awareness Campaign.
A portion of the proceeds from the sell of the newly released Die-Versions dies as well as the stamp sets will be donated to help with cancer research.

Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another. Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer. The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.
Die-Versions |
Die-Versions has NINE new low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal) and Sparkle N Sprinkle is releasing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign. All stamp sets will be 20% off until Aug 3.

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th. You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.
The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.
Now for a little about my project.

I have chosen Lavender for the color of my Cancer Awareness ribbon because this is the color ribbon used for all cancers. There are so many different types of cancer (and cancer ribbons) that the eradication of all cancers should be addressed, not just one or two that are in the spot light all the time.
I created this card by beginning with the center panel. It is actually a gate fold type of card and is created with one piece of cardstock folded in thirds and then die cut with the Spellbinders Labels Eleven die. (Tip: To make sure the side edges don't cut through the paper, make sure the cutting blade of the die is located on the outside of the creases.)
With the gate fold top closed, I stamped the SNS Pink Ribbon Background stamp with VersaMark and heat set it with Wisteria embossing powder. Worn Lipstick Distress Ink was then lightly applied to the backing paper, both on the inside and outside. I also applied Wisteria embossing powder to the two folding inside half panels.

Worn Lipstick Distress Ink was then lightly applied to the backing paper, both on the inside and outside. I also applied Wisteria embossing powder to the two folding inside half panels.
Next I die cut the DV Awareness Ribbon Words from white cardstock and again from fun foam so that I could add dimension to the ribbons and I adhered two of the six ribbon words to the front of the gate fold.
The sentiment, which is from the SNS Survivor stamp set, was stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink and heat embossed with Clear Detail embossing powder onto white cardstock. This was die cut using a smaller Labels Eleven die from the set. The small stamped ribbon, which is from the SNS Awareness stamp set, was heat embossed with Wisteria embossing powder.
This center panel was then layered onto a piece of Super Adhesive Sheet which was die cut using the smallest die in the Grand Labels Eleven. After placing the completed center panel into the center of the super adhesive sheet, I added Sugar Plum glitter to the remaining adhesive to create a glittery border. Then as a final layer, I die cut a larger sized Grand Labels Eleven from white cardstock and heat embossed more Wisteria embossing powder around the edges.
I recently heard about a support group for people with cancer from a blogging friend called Chemo Angels. If you know someone going through chemo treatments or are interested in sending cards to people going through chemo, you may want to check out this site. It always amazes me how even the smallest gestures (like sending a card) bring the biggest smiles.

Hopefully you came from Ashley's blog. Your next stop on the Awareness Campaign Blog Hop is Ani. If you get lost along the way or have a problem with a link, the complete list of Designers is located on both the Die-Versions Blog as well as the Sparkle N Sprinkle Blog. Happy Hopping! And remember, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these dies and stamp sets will be donated to cancer research :-). Happy Hopping!

Love your gate fold on this gorgeous card! I agree that we need to get rid of all cancers, not just one! I think that is great that you picked the color that represents all cancers! Thank you for all the work you did putting this wonderful Blog Hop together!
Anne- as always your card is top shelf! Fabulous front fold and I love the glitter.
Thank you for your inspiration. Big Crafty Hugs inserted here. :)
Amazing folding card!
Wonderful folded card. Great texture and dimension and glitter.
Gorgeous card Anne...wow...love the design and all the awesome details!! Rather odd that tonight I spent with friends working on pulling pork for a cancer fundraiser my hubby does each year at a local golf course and one of our friends was there, the one that had Hodgkins Lymphoma, he is the post commander at our Niles Michigan State police post and his daughter had a picture of his 9" tumor and his this week picture of it which has shrunk to almost being gone ..such a blessing...and why I chose that as one of my cancers to have awareness of!! Have a great weekend my friend!!
Beautiful card Anne! Great job!

What a beautiful design, Anne...the colors are sooo pretty and I love the sentiment and all the sparkle!!!
Anne, your card is amazing and very inspirational. I so agree w/you... it doesn't matter what color ribbon we wear or fight for. In the end we are all fighting for the same thing... to END ALL CANCERS! You rock Anne!
Anne - This is so pretty! Thanks for educating me too, I didn't realize there was ONE ribbon color representing all cancers - that is nice to know :) Your color choices are perfect, and I love the gate fold card ... I might (cough, cough, *will be*) scraplift this idea in the future. I love all the glitter, and the layers of embossing as well. This is simply stunning!
This card is so pretty. I love the glitter and embossing powder. The message is wonderful. I also like that it is a gate fold. Thank you for including a list of all the different colors for the various types of cancer. I had no idea there were so many. And I also had no idea lavender represented all types of cancer.
Great card and sorry to hear you have cancer too. It is a terrible disease and would never wish it on any one. I hope that your fight will end soon and that it will be gone very soon!
Such a great folding card. I love that you chose all cancers. All types of cancer need a cure!
This is gorgeous Anne! Love the pale purple and orange hues, so delicate. Great gate fold card with plenty of bling for the awareness of all cancers!
Love the design of your card and loving the gorgeous colours. Beautiful embellishments.

Great card! Thanks for sharing the color chart.
Yeah, a gatefold card! It is beautiful. Love the way you used a die for the shape of the card, I now have to check to see how I can do it too. As soon as I post this I will print out your chart on the different color of ribbons, thank you for sharing!
I like your card! Thank you.
I didn't know that the cancers had different colored ribbons and were highlighted in certain months. I have learned something from this hop - besides seeing the beautiful designs everyone has made.
Love the gatefold card.

Anne, thanks for sharing the cancer color chart and your special fold directions. Knowing how difficult it is to capture glitter in a photo, I imagine this card is wonderfully sparkly as well as beautiful!
This is gorgeous Anne, fabulous design and like that fold!
This is a beautiful card and the gate fold is very clever. Never saw it done this way before. I must try it! I like that you picked the purple ribbon for all cancers.
Loving this wonderful card- the fold is awesome and love the shimmer and sparkle. The theme is wonderful too- love the awareness images!
Oh, wow - what an awesome project and such a cool contribution to this amazing hop that will do so much good and help so many!! I applaud all of your efforts!!
