Calgon, take me away!

This week's theme from Paper Makeup Stamps' Digi Makeover Challenge is Anything Goes.  What better way to relax than in a bubble bath?  That's exactly what Caliope thought too.

My tag was embossed with a M-Bossabilities (Flower Fun) embossing folder and inked with KI Memories ink.  I used a Lifestyles Crafts die behind the image for a fun addition.  The water/bubbles have Stickles (waterfall) all over them for lots of sparkle and the image is colored with Copics.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp by Unity Stamps that I've had for ages.

I'm sad to say that this is my last post as a Digi Makeup Artist.  I can't believe that a year has already gone by - it went so fast.  I wish the rest of the team the best of luck and will be visiting them often.

Be sure to check out the other creations by the team. Also, give a big welcome to Donna, this week's guest designer.  You'll have one week to upload your digi masterpiece to the Digi Makeup Challenge blog.

Leif Monster

We're starting to get a bit cooler at night - a sure sign that fall will be here soon.   Leif Monster from Paper Makeup Stamps is the perfect digi to help us welcome fall.  And Welcome Autumn is this week's challenge from Digi Makeover Challenge.

Copics were used to color the image.  The leaves are from an old Creative Memories punch that I glittered and pop dotted around the image (like falling leaves).  Glossy Accents was added to his eyes to make them more googly.  The ribbon and papers have been in my stash for quite a while too.  (I don't think I throw anything away :-P ).

Don't forget to see what the rest of the team has created to help you welcome fall.  You have one week to upload your fall creations.  Just be sure to use a digi and follow the theme.  If you use a Paper Makeup Stamps digi and are selected as the lucky winner, your prize will be bigger.  Please give a warm welcome to Tina Keller, this week's guest designer.

Me and Pops

Challenge #53 for Paper Makeup Stamps' Digi Makeover Challenge is to use monsters.  This was a really easy and fun challenge for me because the monsters are some of my favorite images to color from PMS.  They almost color themselves.

I've used Me and Pops and they are colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut out so I could spotlight them with a wonky circle shape from Lifestyle Crafts (it's really their Nesting Flower Die), but I love using the uneven circles in this set.  The card base is from Core'dinations and a bit of twine completes the look.  I also added a white square on the inside so it would be easier to write the sentiment and added a touch of twine inside as well.

You'll have one week to upload your monsters to the Digi Makeover Challenge blog.  Don't forget, you must use a digi.  Be sure to visit the rest of the team to see which monsters came out of their closets. Also give a warm welcome to Olivia, this week's guest designer and to Emily, our newest dt member.

Holly Fairy

Today's challenge from the Digi Makeover Challenge is to use buttons.  Fun and easy.

The snow flakes are my buttons (I cut off the shanks so they would lie flat) and I used Holly Fairy for my image (although she's not in the digi section yet, I'm sure she will be soon).  She's colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out.  I added Distress Stickles to her wings and Diamond Dust to the fur color and the top of the boots.   The snowflake border is from Memory Box (Frosty Border) and Rubber Cafe gems were added to the centers of the snowflakes for added sparkle.

Be sure to visit the rest of the team and see their wonderful creations.  You'll have one week to upload your project using buttons.  If you use a Paper Makeup Stamps image, your prize will be larger.  Check the blog for a complete listl the rules.

Lighthouse

This week's challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps' Digi Makeover Challenge group is a nautical themed inspirational photo.

I've used the Lighthouse from the Sailing By set and colored it with Copics markers.  The sea and the whale are dies from Lifestyle Crafts and the sun is part of the Jen's Sunshine set.  I created the "land" using a embossing folder from Sizzix and a bit of Distress Inks.

Now it's your turn to create a nautical themed project.  Be sure to visit the rest of the team and see what inspired them and hopefully you too.  And welcome to Anda, our guest designer this week.

Lea's Kite

Lea's Kite, from Paper Makeup Stamps, was used to create this week's challenge from the Digi Makeover Challenge group - a tent topper.  If you're unsure how to make a tent topper card, here is a tutorial.

The white crayon resist technique was used so I could apply my Pan Pastels to create the background.  Next I paper pieced the kite and cut the image out using Sizzix scalloped ovals.  The sentiment is a rubber stamp from Unity Stamps and is cut with a MFT Sentiment Strips die.

Now it's your turn to show us your tent topper card.  You have one week to upload it to the Digi Makeover Challenge blog.  Please give a warm welcome to this week's guest designer Rachel Fisher and to our newest Digi Makeover Artist Ardilla.

My Friend

This week's challenge from the Digi Makeover Challenge group from Paper Makeup Stamps is a 3-2-1 recipe.  Use 3 of something, 2 of something, and 1 of something and you need to tell us what those are.

For my card, I chose some digi word art from Paper Makeup Stamps.  My recipe is 3 pieces of patterned papers, 2 staples, and 1 ribbon.  Pretty simple and quick.

We can't wait to see what you do with the recipe.  Just remember, you need to use a digi and follow this week's theme.  Be sure and visit the rest of the team to see what they cooked up with this recipe too.  Please give a warm welcome to this week's guest designer, Dawn, as well as our newest design team member, Ruza!

I scream, you scream....

Keep Cool is this week's challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps' Digi Makeover Challenge.

I've colored the Ice Cream image from the So Sweet set with Copics and added glossy accents for the caramel topping and cherry on top.  I printed the image twice so I could pop dot the different layers.  The spoon is raised from the ice cream scoops and the bowl is pop dotted over all.  The Pretty Paisley doily behind the ice cream bowl is from Die-Versions and the sentiment is a rubber stamp from Unity Stamps.

You have one week to show us how you're keeping things cool.  Be sure to visit the rest of the design team and give a warm welcome to our new team members as well as this week's guest designer, Mette Reedman.  The new team members will be joining us throughout the month of August, including Vicky, who joins us today as well.  For a complete list of my team mates, check under the Design Teams page listed on the top right.

Suzie's Summer

Time for a new Digi Makeover Challenge.  The theme this week is Endless Summer.  Who better to show us a fun summer activity than Suzie the fairy from Paper Makeup Stamps?

Suzie is colored with Copic markers and fussy cut out because I wanted her to look like she's underwater.  I also added Stickles (star dust) to her wings and Glossy Accents to her scuba mask.  Smooch pearlescent ink (illuminate) was added to the sentiment, which comes with the image.  Both layers were cut using Lifestyle Crafts' Nesting Flower dies (I call them the wonky circles).  Spellbinders' M-Bossabilities (Sea Beauty) was used to emboss the first layer.  A few under the sea embellishments and some twine were added to complete the card.

Head on over to the Digi Makeover Challenge blog and show us your endless summer project.  Don't forget to visit the rest of the digi makeup artists while you're there and be sure to say a special hello to this week's guest designer, Sammi (aka Sammibug).

I'm entering this in the following challenge: Simon Says (use a sentiment).

Copics used: E70, E71, E77, RV95   YR04, YR07, YR09, R14, R17, R46   R02   Y08, Y17   RV00, R11   B0000, BG01    E13, E15, E17, E29

Mummy Dearest

Today's challenge from the Digi Makeover Challenge group is do make a project showing your favorite holiday.  This was a tough one as Christmas is an obvious choice,  birthdays are really special around here too, but I decided to go with Halloween because I love seeing all the little kids dressed up in their costumes running around saying trick or treat.

I decided to go with Mummy, a digital download from Paper Makeup Stamps.  He's colored with Copic markers and cut out using a Spellbinders die (deckled rectangles-small #5).  The papers, the rubber stamped sentiment, and the coordinating die are all from Memory Box.

Now it's your turn to show us your favorite holiday.  Be sure to visit the rest of the team to see what their favorite is too and give a warm welcome to this week's guest designer, Wendy Keenan.  You have one week to upload your creation and don't forget, you must use a digi and follow this week's theme - pretty easy.

Starting tomorrow, Paper Makeup Stamps will be releasing a special digi set called Jen's Sunshine.  This is a charity event and all proceeds from the sale of this set of two digis and three word arts will go toward helping our fellow team mate, Jennifer Scull.  She's been battling cancer and this is our way of saying thanks for all she's doing/done for PMS.  Be sure to visit Paper Makeup Stamps tomorrow, 7/24 to purchase this special set.  (Also, there is a blog hop in the works and in order to participate, you will ned to use this set.)

Flu Bu Monster

Time for a new Digi Makeover Challenge and this week's challenge is to add dimension.

Poor FluBu Monster from Paper Makeup Stamps was an easy choice for this challenge.  I printed the image twice so I cut fussy cut out various portions of the image.  The blanket is actually layered at different heights, as is the ice bag on his head.  Spellbinders' (Deckled Rectangles - large) was used to cut the image out.  The matting was cut with Grand Labels Twenty Three.  A piece of netting from a potato bag was added for additional dimension and texture.  I also added some Glossy Accents to his eyes because everyone knows that when you're sick as a dog (or monster in this case), you have glassy looking eyes.  Distress Ink (tumbled glass) was used to create the background.

Head on over to the Digi Makeover Challenge blog and upload your project showing dimension.  Just remember to use a digi and to follow this week's theme.  Please welcome this week's guest designer, Zenita Smith (aka ScrappinwithZ).  Don't forget to visit the rest of the team to see what they've come up with too.

Hershey

The theme for today's challenge from Paper Makeup Stamps' Digi Makeover Challenge is monochromatic and I thought Hershey would be the perfect choice.  (Although he isn't in the digi section yet, I'm sure he will be soon.)

He's colored with Copic markers and cut out with Spellbinders die.  Hershey is definitely a messy eater.  All the chocolate that's on his face, hands, and what he dropped on the floor is covered with Glossy Accents since melted chocolate has that shiny look to it.  I've added a bit of recycling by using a Hershey candy bar wrapper as part of the design.  The mats are cut with Grand Large Labels from Spellbinders and Lifestyle Crafts' Nesting Scallop Squares.  The papers are from WeR Memory Keepers (Cotton Candy) and Bo Bunny (Coffee Stripe).  On the inside is my computer generated sentiment and it says: "Enjoy Life,  Eat Dessert First" in chocolate, of course.

Now it's your turn to show us your monochromatic project.  Just remember, you have to use a digi and follow this week's theme.  Be sure to see what the rest of the Digi Makeup Artists have created for you and give a warm welcome to our first guest designer of the summer - Sarah L.

Eyepod

It's Monday again, so that means a new challenge is starting from the Digi Makeover Challenge.  This week's challenge is to make an easel card.

Eyepod, from Paper Makeup Stamps is listening so intensely to his music, that he's oblivious to everything else going on around him.

He's colored with Copics, fussy cut out and then adhered to a background die cut with Spellbinders Labels Four (#6).  The easel base was cut using the Grand Labels Four (#1) and embossed with the Music M-Bossabilities from Spellbinders.  I added a touch of Distress Inks (Salty Ocean) to highlight the embossing and stamped my sentiment (Unity Stamps) onto twill ribbon.  The sentiment is actually a partial impression of the stamp - the entire thing says "you rocked it!, so I masked the part I didn't want.  The music note is a really old Sizzix Original small die (one of the old green ones).

Be sure to visit the rest of the design team creations to see what they've come up with for your viewing pleasure.  As always, you have one week to upload your digi project to the Digi Makeover Challenge blog.

I'm entering this into the following challenges: Great Impressions (best stay in lines coloring) and Oozak (bright colors).

Hi

The latest challenge from the Digi Makeover Challenge is Anything Goes.

Color Kid - High Five  from Paper Makeup Stamps is the image I chose for this easy challenge.  She's colored in Copic markers and the shaped card was cut using Spellbinder's Grand Circles #1.  The sentiment is an older Sizzix alpha die set (Curlie Girlie).  Dainty Dots border from MFT round out the design.

Head on over and upload your project for the Anything Goes challenge.  Be sure to see what the rest of the design team has created for you too.
