Land of the Free

In remembrance of 9/11

This card is a CAS (clean and simple) card created with a vintage image and sentiment from Create with TLC.  I think the image and the sentiment says all that needs to be said.

The image mat was created using the insert from the Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  I love how it looks like the edges of a postage stamp with this image.  Spellbinders dies (Large and Small Deckled Rectangles - #3 and #4 were used for the sentiment and its mat and the shaped card is cut using the Grand Large Labels (#4).  The words "free" and "brave" were colored with my Spica glitter pens, although the sparkle doesn't show up very well in this photo.  The stars are made with a Creative Memories punch that I've had for ages and the paper came from my stash (meaning I really don't know who made it ;-). )

In addition to entering this card into the blog hop at Create with TLC (you have until 5pm PST today to submit a project), I am also entering this card into the Mark's Finest Papers challenge (use a punch) and Cherry Lynn Designs challenge (anything goes but use a CLD die).
