Butterfly Thoughts

How nice it is to get a card for no reason....and this one fits the bill perfectly.  I've combined the butterfly stamp from the Solid Butterfly stamp set with a sentiment from the Just For You stamp set.  Both sets are by Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The butterfly was heat embossed with Firecracker Blue embossing powder and fussy cut out so he could be placed in my die cut window.  The sentiment is a two step process using Stickum Powder and Orchid Rose velvet glitter.  If you haven't tried stickum powder, it's a great product that allows you to add glitter, flock, micro beads, etc. to stamped images that would normally be hard to have these kind of things added to.  Check out the video found in SNS's technique section here, explaining how this product is used.

For a little added interest, I also dry embossed the back panel, since part of it shows through my cut square.  Plus butterflies love flowers.

I went to the CK convention in Jacksonville and met several people from SNS - what nice people and the products were so fun! I picked up some great glitter and fun texturing medium - can't wait to try them. Your butterfly is beautiful with some really pretty colors. Lovely card my friend! Hugz!
