Chinese New Year

We have a new challenge at Time 4 Scrap.  The challenge lasts for two weeks and the theme is Chinese New Year.  For inquiring minds... Chinese New Year begins Jan 31 and it's the Year of the Horse.

Our sponsors are Lacy Sunshine and A Day for Daisies.  I chose a digi image called 1920's Curly Sue Evening Out from Lacy Sunshine and colored her with Copic markers.

I added a bit of sparkle to her accessories with Sparkle N Sprinkle Silver Leaf Tinsel glitter, Cloud Nine velvet glitter, and Gypsy Red velvet glitter.  The sentiment was die cut from cardstock colored with the same Copic markers as the dress using the Die-Versions Missy Micro font die.

The front of this card is actually acetate and everything except the diamond background is adhered to the front.  I fussy cut the Chinese lanterns from Graphic 45 papers (Bird Song collection).  The Diamond Background, a Die-Versions die, was given a touch of bling by heat embossing it White Spark embossing powder from SNS.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has created as well.

This tinsel was perfect on her stole. I just used it on trees, and really like your results here, much, much better. This is a cute card and love all the SnS products you've showcased on it. I'm trying to learn to use the glitters more (and better too!) TFS & thanks for your visit & comment. Hugs
