Elegant Poinsettia
Today's card features the Elegant Poinsettia from Die-Versions. I die cut the shape from Super Adhesive Sheets and white cardstock and applied the Double Flocking technique to the flower. (You can view my Double Flocking technique tutorial here).
I started off by exposing the flower center and added Canary flock from Sparkle N Sprinkle to it. Next I took an Exaco knife and cut the protective sheet between the flower petals and the greenery. Palm Leaf flock was burnished into the adhesive for the leaves and Cherry Sparkle was added to the flower petals. Be sure to burnish the flock in well with your fingertip.
I wanted a bit more dimension to the flower, so I began to gently fold it between each of the flower petals. This gave it the depth that I was looking for without using dimensional dots. Zva Creative gems add the finishing touches.
