Magic of the Season

I have a fun card to share with you today and it's called a Magic card, which is appropriate since this stamp set is called Magic of the Season by Sparkle N Sprinkle.  There are several tutorials out there, including the SNS tutorial and the Splitcoast Stampers version.

I followed the instructions on the Splitcoast Stampers video (listed below the written instructions).  I used SNS Clear Embossable Acetate for the front and stamped the image with StazOn (Jet Black) ink and heat embossed it with Clear embossing powder.

The image and sentiment on the magic part of the card was stamped with Memento Ink (Tuxedo Black) and colored with Copic markers.  I added some glue using a Sakura glue pen to the swirls and stars and covered them with Celestial glitter.  The background panel was created by cutting a piece of Sticker Paper and covering it with Diamond Dust glitter.

The front panel opening was die cut using the Fleur de Lis Square die from Spellbinders and distressed with Distress Ink (Bundled Sage).  1/4" Tear-ific Tape was adhered to the outside edges of the front panel and covered with Pistachio glitter.

The above photo shows a close up of the magic starting to happen.  Magic is definitely in the air!

Hi, Anne! You will laugh. I have never made one of these cards yet - and like a small child, they DO seem oh-so-magical to me! I might try one now, but don't want to lose the element of surprise when I see them LOL too silly, right?

Love how you achieved sparkle on the plain one, and pretty colors on the second one!

hugs,
de
