Today's card showcases the Sparkle N Sprinkle Sleigh Ride stamp set. I started out by die cutting the ornament shape from the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament die and then covering it with Distress Inks (Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch). Next, the image and the sentiment were stamped with Black Soot Distress Ink.
I then applied VersaMark ink over the entire thing and heat set it with Clear embossing powder. To simulate falling snow, I sprinkled some Super Thick White embossing powder over the top and heat set it from the bottom. You'll want to heat set this chunky embossing powder from the bottom, otherwise it will blow away.
The background is a Sue Wilson Designs die (Festive Collection - Snowflake background) that was covered with Cloud Nine glitter using the Glueless Glitter technique.
This layer was edged with more Shaded Lilac ink, pop dotted, and adhered to the card base. A double looped bow was added as a finishing touch.

This is gorgeous, Anne. I love the Sue Wilson background and the pretty lilac ornament. The stamp is great, too.
Anne, this is so stunning, wonderful scene and like how you cut the ornament out of the background to display it so uniquely!
Such a beautiful card, Anne!! Love the SW die cut in the background and the way you have used the SB ornament with the pretty silhouette image. Lovely techniques. Also I see you have changed your blog comment settings. Is it helping in a way I should know about? (Inquiring minds need to know) LOL. Hope your shoulder is improving. Huggers, de
Beautiful and so elegant. Love that you used non-traditional Christmas colours but still so festive.
