Now for a bit about my card.
I used the Elephant Christmas Tree image because it is so cute! I used the digi version and printed it out twice so that I could fussy cut out the elephant and the tree for more dimension.
I colored the image with Copic markers and then used glitters, flock, and Nuvo Crystal Drops to accentuate various areas. On the elephant, Swan Song tinsel glitter was used to decorate the hat and Mauvelous glitter adds sparkle to her heart, the bow on her tail, and her toe nails. I wanted bright pink for these, so I decided my elephant is a "her".
For the Christmas tree, I used Dimensional Glue on the stars and covered them with Fantasy Gold glitter. All the ornaments were colored with Copics and Mauvelous glitter was added to the pink ornaments. Then I covered all the ornaments with Nuvo Crystal Drops (Morning Dew). This self leveling enamel drops adds makes the ornaments rounded and more realistic. The Mauvelous glitter shows through the Morning Dew so that you can add any color glitter you would like underneath.
From left to right, Snow White flock, Twinkling Clouds Sparkle N Soft, and Petal Soft Sparkle N Soft was added to the tops of each of the stockings. The cord that holds the stockings was covered with Silver Dreams glitter and the snow flakes are covered with Fantasy Gold glitter.
A bit of beading was adhered to the bottom of the first mat using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape. The card base was created using Echo Park patterned cardstock.
Now it's time for you to visit with Eret. I know she has something special created for you! Be sure to leave a comment with each of us for a chance to win all the sets revealed this month.
Happy Hopping!
