It's Wednesday and you know what that means - it's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge. Since it's the first Wednesday of the month, the theme is Anything Goes using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.
I've got something a little different for you today. It's an album to hold recipes and I used the following dies:
Kaiser Crafts - Recipe Book Word Pack
Sue Wilson Designs - Noble dies-Double Pierced Rectangles Set B
Die-Namites - Baking Vase
Die-Namites - Apron
Die-Namites - Pots of Love
Die-Namites - Mixer
The album itself was made using a GrandMark 2 die-cutting machine and AccuCut dies (Album 6 1/2" x 8", Tabs). I started out by adhering the light blue cardstock to chipboard and then die cutting the album pages. That way I didn't have to worry about lining up the cut cardstock perfectly with the die-cut chipboard. Next I began to assemble the fronts for each of the tabs.
I die cut each shape out twice so that I could inlay the lighter color blue into the main image.
Baking Vase |
Apron |
Pots of Love |
Mixer |
Once everything was die cut, it was an easy assembly process. I also die-cut some page inserts to write down a recipe and included a couple of pockets on the inside of the front cover and on the inside of the back cover that are large enough to slip in several recipe cards.
The little whisk on the cover was a novelty item I found and thought it would be perfect for something like this.
Be sure to visit the Scrapy Land Blog to see what the rest of the very talented Design Team has created for you today. I know you won't be disappointed. Once you're there, be sure to upload your creation. You have until October 2 and the winner (chosen by the Design Team) will receive a $15 gift certificate to go shopping at Scrapy Land.
