Spring has Sprung {Scrapy Land Challenge #64}

This year is just whizzing by!  Can you believe it's already the third Wednesday of April?  That means it's also time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge.  The theme for this challenge is, you guessed it, SPRING BLOOMS. You also need to incorporate any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells into your project.

The following dies were used to create this card:

For today's card, I started out by dry embossing a piece of white cardstock (already cut to the dimensions I needed using a Sue Wilson die (Noble dies-Double Pierced Rectangles Set B).

Then I added my color using Nuvo Embellishment Mousse (Lilac Lavender, Spring Green, and Lemon Sorbet) and a stipple brush for each of the colors.  This technique looks really cool in person.

The large flower in the corner was created using multiple Sue Wilson dies (Delicate Daisies Complete Petals, Delicate Daisies Open Petals, Perfect Peony Complete Petals, Perfect Peony Open Petals).  Once the flower was assembled, I added a bit of sparkle using the Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle marker.

The sentiment, an Elizabeth Craft Designs die (Four Seasons) was colored with Copics, to match the leaves) and then heat set using Clear embossing powder.  This gives it a really shiny look and makes it even brighter.

Now it's your turn to come play with us.  You have until April 30 to upload your Spring Blooms project to the Scrapy Land Challenge.  The winner, chosen by the Design Team, will receive a $15 gift certificate to go shopping at Scrapy Land.

Oh Anne, I never would have known what to do with that mousse - so thank you for sharing this technique. A friend uses the Ranger product that is similar with a credit card and swipes onto smooth stock. The swipes of one ink resist to the next and the layers are translucent. Maybe it would work with your product - what fun! I love that open flower die, what a stunning make! Hugs, Autumn
