Hey everyone, welcome to the Scrapy Land Challenge #125! Today's card is a very quick and easy card using patterned paper and dies from Scrapy Land.
The following dies were used for this project:
Sue Wilson Designs: Australian Collection-Background (this is out of stock at the moment, but so many of her dies would work perfectly for this technique.)
Memory Box: Plump Pumpkin
I started out with a sheet of patterned paper that had a fall theme and the word "thankful" printed many times on the sheet. Using the filigree die from the Sue Wilson set, I placed the opening so that I could capture one of the "thankful" words in the center of the rectangle. Once I was happy with the placement, I ran it through my die cut machine.
Next, using one of the solid rectangles, I die cut a piece of double sided adhesive and place the patterned paper on top. I added a seaspray shade of blue glitter to the exposed adhesive for a very glittery affect.
This focal point was then adhered to my next layer, which was die cut using the largest die in this set. I adhered this to my black card base.
For an added touch of fall, I die cut the Memory Box pumpkin twice and colored both of them with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers.
The final touch was tracing the word "thankful" with a glue pen and adding yellow/orange glitter to the word.
This is a very sparkly card and I know my recipient will love all the added glitter. 😀
The Scrapy Land Challenge #125 goes until Nov 17 and the theme is Anything Goes using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells. There are 55+ brands to choose from, so I bet you have at least one of them.😉
