Fairy Birthday {Lavinia World #24}

Hey everyone, it's time for the Lavinia World Challenges #24!  That means we're celebrating our first year of challenges.  My how time flies by 😁! As always, the theme is anything goes using a stamped image (rubber or clear, but no digis please).  The winner will receive a generous $15 gift certificate to Lavinia World.

Today's shadow box card uses the following Lavinia stamps:

I was die cutting some sprigs of leaves (Sizzix-Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Mini) for a different project and thought that it created a great DIY stencil.

Then I realized how similar these die cuts were to the flower branch the Flower Fairy was resting on.

I stamped the Flower Fairy onto patterned cardstock and die cut my tag using a Tutti Designs die (Cross Stitch Nesting Tags).  Glitter was then added to her wings and Nuvo Crystal Drops (Rhubarb Crumble) to the berries.

The shadow box is a die set by John Next Door (Square Scene Box).  I adhered my panel created with my DYI stencil and then the focal point.

Next I stamped the Fairy Happy Birthday sentiment onto vellum and die cut it using an older My Favorite Things die set (Fishtail Flags Stax).  A few more drops of Rhubarb Crumble add the finishing touches to the sentiment.

Now it's your turn to join us.  You can either upload your current project to the Challenge Blog or you can join our Anything Lavinia Facebook group and upload your project there.

If you upload into the Anything Lavinia album, your project must include something Lavinia (stamps, paper); if you upload to the Challenge Blog, anything goes as long as you have used a physical stamp on your project.

You can share your projects with us on the Challenge BlogFacebookInstagram, and our Anything Lavinia Facebook group:

Anne your shadow box card is beautiful! I love how you created your own stencil with the die cut outs! It turned out great, I am going to have to give that a try! Thanks for the inspiration!

Whoa! Wonderful shadow box creation, Anne, with fabulous use of that DIY stencil! What a happy "coincidence" that the branches matched the fairy's flower branch - I love when that happens. That's when our subconscious guides us, I think? It really does look spectacular. The red berries are PERFECTLY applied! Mine never look like that! It's lovely, Anne. hugs, de
