Hey everyone, it's Thursday and time for a brand new Lavinia World Challenges #32. The theme is Anything Goes using a stamped image.
For my project today, I was going for a Pirates of the Caribbean feel and used the following products found at Lavinia World:

To start out, I cut a piece of white cardstock to 5.5"x5.5". Distress Oxides and the following stencils Gina K stencil (Water Droplets) and StampingDown (Mask 1-2-3) were used to create the background. I began with the water droplets stencil so that I could mimic waves. I added several shades of Distress Oxide, slightly moving the stencil each time to create movement. Next I began adding deeper colors for the ocean depths.
Instead of having the ship sunken on the bottom of the ocean floor, I decided it was a ghost ship riding the waves. Before stamping, I removed a little bit of the ink from the bottom so that it looked more like it was floating instead of laying flat on a surface.
Next I began designing the ocean floor, using the rest of the Fairy Hugs stamps and the Lavinia stamps. I stamped the Mini Crab and the Pearl with Oyster onto white cardstock and added touches of color with Spectrum Noir sparkle markers. (I love how the crab is trying to get to the pearl.)
I added Raven and Pearl Fairy Hugs glitters to the oyster. The plant life needed a touch of sparkle as well; this was accomplished by adding Pearl glitter powder and a glue pen.
This focal point was then adhered to a black card base to finish off the card.
