Christopher's Log {Lavinia World #34}

Hey everyone, it's Thursday and that means it's time for the new Lavinia World Challenges #34! The theme is always anything goes using a stamped image and the winner will receive a $15 gift code to go shopping at Lavinia World, the largest US retailer of Lavinia stamps.

For today's square card, I used the following products:

I started out a little differently than I normally do in that I die cut my Fairy Scapes papers first using a Sue Wilson Designs die (Italian Collection - Umbria).  Although the colors on the paper are lovely, I wanted to change it around just a bit.  I started off by adding just a little Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink over the entire surface to lighten everything up a bit more.  Then for the moon, I added quite a bit of yellow ink to make it look more like a sun instead of a moon 😏.

Next up, I began stamping my scene, starting with the Seasonal Tree.  ALl the images were stamped with various colors of VersaFine Clair.  The tree was stamped with Fallen Leaves. Next came the smaller of the Logs, which was stamped with Acorn.  Morning Mist was used to stamp the smaller log a second time as well as the Flutterbies.  I also stamped the small bunny with Morning Mist, then moved my paper slightly and stamped him again in Nocturne.  This gave him a nice shadow.  Finally, Christopher was stamped with Verdant green.  He didn't show up as well as I would have liked, so I stamped him again using the white Unicorn ink to lighten up that area.  Once the Hero Arts ink was dry, I moved the paper just a hair and stamped the caterpillar again with the Verdant ink. Not only does it make him show up better, it also gives him a nice shadow effect.  I came back with a white gel pen and added shadows to the other stamped images as well.  A touch of Pixie Dust glitter was added to the wings of the Flutterbies as a finishing touch.

I used a Tonic Studios die (Beautiful Bramble Square) to die cut the mat for my scene and then adhered all this onto my card base.

This is lovely, Anne. Christopher seems to be glowing with happiness at having his own log :-) Love how you changed the background paper to suit your scene. Very creative!
