Grog's Dream {Fairy Stamper}

Hey everyone, today it is my turn to share a project with the Fairy Stamper Hugs Facebook group and I've created this cute water scene featuring Grog. I have to admit that when I saw Grog in the store, I wasn't thrilled with him but I took a chance and I love how he looks in person! There are so many fun ways you can color various aspects of him. I love his piercing blue eyes that he has on this card.  All the stamped images were colored with colored pencils and paint pens.

For today's project I used the following Fairy Hugs stamps. You can find all of these at Fairy Stamper

Grog - FSH-031
Leafy Canoe - FSH-067
Bridge - FSH-039
Fairy Hugs Stencil - Pebble Beach
Fairy Hugs Stencil - Woody
Fairy Hugs Stencil - Galaxy

I started this project by blending various Distress Oxides onto a piece of white cardstock. I would figure out placement of the shore and the water line by using the pre-printed images that come on top of each stamp. They are perfect to use when you want to figure out where you want your image to be stamped.

In the water area, I used the Woody stencil sideways because it reminded me of small ripples in the water. The Pebble Beach stencil was used to give more depth to the beach area and the Galaxy stencil was used for the night sky. Since the background was purple, I heat embossed the Galaxy stars with white embossing pwder and then added a bit of a yellow Spectrum Noir sparkle marker to a few of the stars.

I stamped Grog and the Leafy Canoe onto a piece of white cardstock and fussy cut these out. As previously mentioned, I gave Grog some added color with colored pencils and the canoe was given added color using fine tipped paint pens. The Bridge was stamped with Versafine Clair and heat embossed with a brown embossing powder. A brown colored pencil gave it a bit more definition.

My sentiment is a die cut from Tonic Studios (kit #19 - sweet sentiments).

I hope you've enjoyed today's project. We'd love for you to join us in the Fairy Stamper Hugs Facebook group for lots of amazing inspiration from both the Design Team as well as the amazing projects shared by our members. Once you're there,  join in on the Fairy Stamper challenge every other Thursady for a chance to win a $15 gift code to Fairy Stamper.

Until next time,
