Here's to a Rockin' Good 2011!! It's already off to a good start here and I hope your 2011 will be fantabulous too!
So, you may have seen Hippy Rocker here before. He's one of the digital images from Bonibleaux Designs and today he's singing the old song "Rockin' Robin" (if you don't remember the lyrics, you can see some of them in the background - very catchy tune and I used to dance to it when I was a kid (OK, I'm showing my age again - oh well).
He's colored with Copic markers; I used quite a bit of colorless blender for different effects on this aging rocker. Check out the head band (just wrote on top of my colors with a blender pen) and on his pants, I saturated an old rag with colorless blender to get that faded look.
For the background, I used my computer to generate the song's lyrics and then used Distress inks (Tea Dye, Broken China, and Spun Sugar) to blend in colors (a la Tim Holtz). The card base is by Basic Gray and I added one of the many guitar picks laying around our house as an embellishment.
I'm also entering Hippy Rocker into the Stamping Vacation's Get The Music In You challenge going on this month.
Happy Rockin' 2011 to all of you!
Copics used (in group order): BG45, BG49, E07, E09 YR15, YR16, YR18, CB BV25, BV29, CB W3, W5, W7, W9 E00, E01, E11, R20
