We hope you enjoy the New Reveals as much as we do!  Last month the winner came from Shona's blog.  Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize winner this month?

Now to tell you a little bit about my card.  I used the Get Well Friends stamp set and it's sort of a gate fold card, but only the sentiment actually acts like it.

To create this sentiment gate fold, I cut two strips of manilla cardstock long enough so they would overlap slightly and have enough of a lip to attach to the back.  Then I covered each one in gauze.  The gauze was adhered to the cardstock strips with a spray adhesive.  Lavender Iris glitter was sprinkled onto the gauze to get rid of any sticky spots left from the spray adhesive.  Both sentiments, which are part of the set, were stamped with Distress Ink (Iced Spruce), heat set using Clear embossing powder, and die cut using the Fishtail Flags die from My Favorite Things.

gate fold, closed
I also added the pills (again part of the set) to the second portion of my sentiment.  Squeezed Lemonade was used to add a touch of brightness to the sentiment strips.

gate fold, partially open
Once both of my sentiment strips were opened to reveal the image, which was colored with Copic markers, they looked a bit plain.  So I die cut these Chevron strips by My Favorite Things out of Sticker Paper and covered them with Green Nugget glitter. All the patterned papers are digi papers from The Digital Press (Boo Boo Be Gone).

open
I always think of Gerty as the adventurous one, so in that spirit, her hair has a purple tint to go along with her purple fingernails (Purple Dust glitter).  Poor Eunice is sick in bed with a compress on her head.  Even though it didn't photograph too well, the compress was actually covered with Liquid Applique (red) and heat set slightly.  I wanted it to raise and show wrinkles (which it does in person), but I didn't want to heat it so much that it began to be individual bubbles.

Eunice might not be feeling well, but her nails are always perfect and today she's sporting bright red fingernails (Gypsy Red velvet glitter).  The cross on Gerty's nurse cap is also covered with Gypsy Red glitter.

Both of the girls' eyeglasses, the drinking glass, and the plastic bag full of fluids were covered with Glossy Accents and Eunice's blanket was paper pieced.

Next up on our New Reveal Blog Hop is one of our Guest Designers, Ashley and I know she's got something special planned.  Don't forget to comment on each of our blogs for your chance to win all of the stamp sets revealed this month!  The winner will be announced on April 3rd on our blogs, on the SNS Blog, and on the SNS Facebook page.

Great card design, Miss Anne! Love the use of the textured "bandage" with the sentiments overlapping in a kind of "gate fold" manner. You are so creative to use the sparkly rick-rack style layer on the back side to create a more sturdy application. Darling get well! hugs, de who LOVES the new sets - wouldn't they be so beautiful in gold EP?
