First up is a gift bag using the Garden Arbour and Cross Stitch Nesting Squares. I used the die cuts in a non traditional way and laid them on their sides. I also cut one apart to use on the edges of the gift bag and on my tag. I stamped the perfect sentiment on my gift tag created with one of the smaller Cross Stitched Nesting Squares and heat set it with Clear embossing powder.
Here is what the bag looks like without the tag showing
I couldn't leave the back of the bag bare, so I used a portion of the die cut and turned it upside down. I couldn't help but see those smiling flowers when it was turned this way.😀
This is another example using the Garden Arbour die cut in a more traditional way. I die cut the arbour three times from white cardstock and once from white fun foam. I adhered all of these layers together at the top and left the bottom free so that it would look like a cluster of vines. This also gave it lots of dimension so I could add the church behind the Garden Arbour. The stamped image and sentiment are an old stamp set I've had for a long time. The corners were punched with a heart punch and Copic markers were used to add color. The papers are from Tonic Studios.
I had so much fun creating this magnet from 1/8" thick black fun foam and the Heart Dream Catcher die.
I ran the extra thick fun foam and die through my cutting machine. It easily cut the outside edges of the fun foam, but left a good impression of the inside details without cutting through - which is exactly what I was hoping for! I used Nuvo Glitter markers to add color to the Heart Dream Catcher. I love the metallic look it has. Using a hot glue gun, I added a magnet to the back of the piece.
For my next sample, I created a shaker card using the Heart Dream Catcher and the Cross Stitch Nesting Squares.
I die cut the Heart Dream Catcher several times from white card stock and added color with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers.
The background for both the shaker element and my sentiment wee two different dies from the Cross Stitch Nesting Squares set. I die cut them from white cardstock and added some Distress Oxides around the edges. My sentiment was stamped with VersaFine Clair (Warm Breeze) and heat set with Clear embossing powder. I added more feathers at the bottom.
This card was created using the Maple Vine Frame die.
I stared out by using a stencil to create my tree in the background. I used several Distress Inks and then heat set it with Clear embossing powder. More Distress Ink was added to create the sky.
The pointillism technique was used to add "leaves" to the tree. This is an easy technique. All you need to do is add a few drops of reinkers to an acrylic block and dab q-tips in the ink and then onto your paper.
I die cut the Maple Vine Frame twice from white cardstock and added color to one of them with Distress Inks. I then layered the two together, offsetting the top one from the white background.
The Maple Vine Frame and the Dancing Couple dies were used to create this quick and easy card. The Dancing Couple were die cut from black cardstock and the Maple Vine Frame was die cut from Rose Gold mirror Cardstock. I love all the leaf detail the mirrored cardstock gave this piece.
Up next is a fun fold card using the Stacked Butterfly Cups and Cross Stitch Nesting Squares dies.
I die cut the Stacked Butterfly Cups from white cardstock and blended my blue color using Distress Oxides. Afterwards, I heat set it a couple times using Clear embossing powder. I heat set it multiple times to get that smooth as glass look.
These were then adhered to two Cross Stitched Nesting Squares that were die cut from patterned cardstock. This created the flap for the opening of the card. I added two more Cross Stitched Nesting Squares to the inside of my card for a message.
And my final sample is also a fun fold card using the Stacked Butterfly Cups and Cross Stitch Nesting Squares dies.
I die cut the Stacked Butterfly cups from burgundy cardstock, cut off one of the cups, and heat set the remaining two cups with Clear embossing powder. I added a piece of patterned paper behind the cups for the design.
This focal point was adhered to a piece of green cardstock die cut using the Cross Stitch Nesting Squares die. I actually die cut a frame using two of the nesting dies and then adhered it on top of my base nesting die cut. It's hard to tell in the photo, but it gives it a little more visual detail.
The arrow of this fun fold opens up to allow space for your message.
Your final stop will be to leave a comment back on the Tutti
