Underwater Scene {Fairy Stamper}

it's Monday and that means it's time for a new Fairy Stamper project.  For today's project, I combined several Fairy Hugs stamps with Lavinia stamps.  These two brands coordinate beautifully together.

Products used:

This is a large piece, measuring approximately 8.75" x 6.5".  I started off with a white piece of cardstock and started stamping my scene using VersaFine Clair (Nocturne). At first, it looked like a whole lot of black on white and not very impressive.

After everything was stamped, I heat embossed the entire piece with Clear embossing powder as I wasn't sure at this point how I would add color.

I decided to add color to Jalandhar and the Dancing Mushrooms using glitter gel pens. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they blended together.

Next, to tackle the white background. I used colored pencils in several shades of blues, pinks, and a bit of purples.  Then I blended it together using Gamsol and a paper blending stub.

The ocean floor was given a bit more texture by adding a light brown embossing powder.  And as a final touch, I added a bit of ribbon that reminded me of a fisherman's net.

Be sure to join our Fairy Stamper Facebook group to see all the latest inspiration from the design team and from the members.  This is YOUR group where you can ask questions, get inspired, and share your projects with us!

Until next time,
