Hello Gift Pocket {Scrapy Land #122}

Hello all.  It's time for a brand new Scrapy Land Challenge!  The theme is always anything goes using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.

For today's project, I created a card that incorporates a pocket on the front for a gift card (or money).

The following dies were used to create this project:

Poppy Stamps: Luscious Script Hello
Sue Wilson Designs: Delicate Daisies-Closed Petals
Sue Wilson Designs: Dandelion Clocks
Lil Inkers Designs: Bow-Large (any of these would work)
Little B: Circles (any of these would work)

I started out by creating my focal layer with Nuvo Shimmer Powders and watercolor papers.  (I loved this color so much that I created another card base using the exact same colors that you will see in a future project.😀)

I trimmed down some patterned cardstock to the size I wanted and then used my circle dies to create the opening in the center.  This was then adhered to the watercolor paper.  (Don't forget to only add adhesive to three of the side edges - not the top 😆.) This created my pocket for the gift card.

In order to embellish the pocket front, I die cut the large bow and then heat embossed with glittered embossing powder before assembling it.

I die cut the Daisy flower and two of the Dandelion clocks to add more pizazz to the bow's center.  Once these pieces were adhered together, Nuvo Crystal Drops (Rhubarb Crumble) was added to the Daisy center and to the tips of the Dandelion Clocks.  This was then adhered to the center of the bow after the Crystal Drops had dried.

The large die cut sentiment is perfect for any occasion.

Won't you come join us for the Scrapy Land Challenge #122?  You have until Sept 29 to upload your project for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Until next time....
