Celeste {Lavinia World #26}

Hey everyone, it's time for a new Lavinia World Challenges!  The theme is always anything goes using a stamped image and the winner of each challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate to do some shopping at Lavinia World.  Today's project uses the following Lavinia stamps from Lavinia World:

Celeste

Three Dancing Fairies

Luna Lights

Tree Root

I started this project by cutting a piece of white cardstock to a business letter size (tall and thin).  Then I stamped the Tree Root with VersaFine Clair toward the bottom left of the cardstock.  I began masking off the roots and continued stamping the tree trunk up the side of the paper to create a tall tree trunk with a large root base. After the tree was complete, I stamped the rest of my scene with various colors of VersaFine Clair. After stamping each image, I added clear embossing powder and heat set. (At this point I wasn't really sure how I was going to create the background, so this was a precautionary step. Once I decided to use Pan Pastels though, this step wasn't necessary...but it didn't hurt anything either 😊. )

I stamped the Three Dancing Fairies separately on scrap cardstock so that I could fussy cut them out and add pop dots to the back of each one.

Celeste's wings were colored with colored pencils and then give a glossy overcoat using Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers. 

Pan Pastels were used to add color to the background sky, the insides of the Luna Lights, and the tree bark color.  I also added shadowing using Pan Pastels.
